Llama Captured by Zuiko 100mm Lens

I obtained one of the original plasticky Nikon Series E 100mm f2.8 lenses from Ebay, and have been really impressed with this lowly lens. Zuiko made a similarly sized 100mm f2.8 lens for the OM cameras, so I was naturally curious how the latter would stack up in comparison with the Nikon Series E. Mechanically, the Zuiko is much better, but optically the Nikon, or at least my example, is much much better. This shot is taken with the Zuiko (Olympus OM4T, Zuiko 100mm f2.8).

Sichuan Takin

Here are a couple of shots of one of the Sichuan Takins at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. I tell my two horrors that this animal is the source of the "Sichuan Beef" (Nikon FE2, Nikkor 200mm f4.0).

Arctic Fox

Not as sharp as I wanted, but this came out reasonably well. The problem was trying to hold the camera steady while holding it high enough to clear the perspex wall of the enclosure. Edmonton Valley Zoo now has a pack of Arctic Foxes (Nikon FE2, Nikkor 200mm f4.0).

Yet Another Tram Shot

OK, so I was having a lot of fun in the late summer of 2007 with my Nikkor 200mm lens. I like the way the narrow depth of field can be exploited even at fair distances from from the camera (Nikon FE2, Nikkor 200mm f4.0).

Old Ford

Some sort of greyhound hood ornament on old Fords? I am not sure what to make of this (Nikon FE2, Nikkor 50mm f1.8).
