This blog will attempt to present photographs of Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) and its environs on a more or less daily basis. I have lived in the city since 1989, and have recently experienced a renewed interest in photography that is a byproduct of the necessity to capture my children's upbringing on 35mm film. I will be posting photographs of the Edmonton area and Rocky Mountains that have been taken using moderately archaic and cheap cameras dating mostly from the 1980s.
Here's a shot of the one of the ERRS trams that are run across the High Level Bridge in Summer. The route takes you from the Edmonton Legislature Building or thereabouts to the old bus barns and farmers' market in what is laughably described as "Old Strathcona". The ride is definitely worth it! (Nikon FG, Tamron 28mm, f2.5).
This photo really belongs in my FSU Photoblog, as it was taken with an ancient Zorki 1 equipped with an Industar 22 lens. However, because I am a little smug about its technical merits, I am posting it here (Zorki 1, Industar 22, 50mm, f3.5).
